NEPAL IS OPEN FOR TOURISM
1 – Is it right time and advisable to visit Nepal? YES
Using mask and maintaining social distance is the first rule to be followed.
With 200 new covid cases per day in average, zero death cases since last few days and ongoing vaccination campaign, Nepal in today’s time is a safe destination to visit!
2 – Which places can we visit?
Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan and Langtang, Helambu, Mardi Himal, Everest and Annapurna Base Camps, Phaplu - Jumbesi, and Manaslu treks are open to all visitors.
3 – Can visa be obtained upon arrival? YES
We need to follow 5 simple steps before taking the flight. All domestic flights including some international companies: Qatar, Emirates, Turkish and Air India from Delhi to and from Katmandu have started to operate.
4 – Formality instruction before departure :
> negative PCR test to be done 72 h max, before the departure.
> Trekking permit (including for cultural tours) to request us with a simple copy of your passport sent by mail 8 days before your departure.
> Base Camp Trek will book the necessary first 5 to 7 nights hotel, upon your arrival
> An insurance covering minimum 5000 US$ of medical costs

5 – Formality upon arrival :
> apply for the visa at terminal upon arrival or simply do it online on the link given below before your departure:
www.nepaliport.immigration.gov.np
> Base camp trek team will welcome and transfer you to your hotel. You can start your trip as soon as you have second negative PCR test result hence staying only 3 days in Katmandu instead of one week quarantine.
