Day
Arrival at Lhasa. 1 h 30 min. drive to reach Lhasa (3650 m). Check-in and acclimatization walk in the old town.

Visit to the famous places of Lhasa. The Potala Palace which was the residence of the Dalai Lama till 1959 and that house an impressive collection of Buddhist art work. At two minutes from our hotel, in the city center, is The Jokhang Temple where the pilgrims from the confines of the Tibetan world walk around.

Morning climb to the large monastic university of Drepung which sheltered more than 7000 monks in a maze of chapels, temples and oratories. In the afternoon, visit to the Monastic University of Sera where rhetorical contests and philosophical debates always take place.

In the morning, 45 km drive from Lhasa to the Ganden Monastery founded by Tsongkhapa in 1409 (headquarters of the Gelugpa School of Tibetan Buddhism) and transfer to Samye.
This historical site allows us to better understand the habits and customs of this endearing people.

Morning visit to the Samye Monastery, the oldest Tibetan monastery. It was built on a mandala plan, following the instructions of Guru Rinpoche. It was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution and then restored.
After visiting the monastery, hike to the hermitage hill of Hepori, the first cave where Padmasambhava meditated. From the hill, we will enjoy a magnificent view of the valley of Samye.
Beautiful drive to Chedishol along the Yarlung. After lunch, 25 km drive with fascinating landscapes.

After breakfast, stroll to the Bumthang Monastery. Half an hour walk to reach the village of Shizhol. Then, we take the road to the Choede monastery. This monastery is famous for its magnificent Tibetan paintings dating back to the 16th century.
After visiting the monastery, we will continue our trip to Lake Yamdrok through some beautiful villages and we will pass the Karo La Pass (4900m). From the top of the pass, you will reach a little-known point of view of tourists on Lake Yamdrok. If weather permitting, you can also have a fantastic view of the snow-capped peak of Noijin Mountain.
Then, drive to the foot of the monastery where we will walk. A splendid view of Lake Yamdrok and Noeking Kangsang awaits you. We continue the trip to the Kangru Monastery via Kangra. You will visit the monastery, enjoy Tibetan tea and share with monks their monastic experience.

Morning drive to Rimpo where we will start a small trek along the Yamdrok Lake. Then, drive through the pastures of Yamdrok to reach the village of Kha. Lunch at the inhabitant.
In the afternoon, one hour walk to the village. Then, cooking workshop to prepare Tibetan ravioli.
Dinner with the local family and overnight at their home.

120 km to Gyantse where we visit the Taklung Monastery. We continue to Ralung, incredible site of a forgotten monastery. One or two hours of easy walk to feel the vastness of the Tibetan plateau.
- Free time, night and dinner at the Ralung Monastery.
After enjoying the morning scenery in Ralung, short drive to the city of Lhasa.
