ITINERARY BETWEEN JUNGLE & MOUNTAIN
ASSOCIATED WITH THE HOLI FESTIVAL.

From the historic cities of the Kathmandu Valley to the idleness of Pokhara, this varied journey offers us moments of wonder from the contemplation of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas to the jungle of the Terai. This trip combines cultural discovery and participation in a major festival in Nepal.

We first immerse ourselves in the Kathmandu Valley:

Emotions first of all in Kathmandu, the beautiful medieval city of the valley, and in southern Nepal where we take part in the festivities of the great Holi festival.

The festival of colours, Holi takes place over two days, first in the hills region, in Kathmandu then the next day in the Terai where it has a deeper meaning and is celebrated with more fervour by the Tharu ethnic group who the effigy of Holika burns there in the evening

Then on the way to Bandipur, a splendid village typical of traders of the Newar ethnic group, then Pokhara and three days of excursion among the Gurung villages at the foot of the Annapurna!
